We’re best known for our signature doubles — soft bara filled with savory curried channa and layered with house-made chutneys and sauces that deliver the perfect balance of spice, sweetness, and heat. Alongside doubles, guests can enjoy dhalpuri and buss-up-shut roti, aloo pies, polourie, and slow-cooked curry dishes including chicken, goat, duck, shrimp, and boneless chicken. Every plate is prepared using authentic Trini techniques and seasoned with real island spices like geera, curry masala, and chadon beni. "The doubles were amazing, freshly made to order with soft, fluffy bara and perfectly seasoned channa. The tamarind, pepper, and cucumber sauces were on point and balanced just right. You can tell everything is made with care and real Trini flavor. The owner is super friendly and welcoming, happy to chat and make recommendations, which really adds to the experience. This spot feels like a little piece of Trinidad. Definitely a must-visit if you love authentic doubles."

"Had their doubles and beef pie- both were amazing.
Esp the beef pie! Well seasoned ground beef and fried to perfection! And if the food didn’t remind me of home, the atmosphere certainly did! The owner was friendly and kind, soca music played in the background and on the wall there was a picture of an old school parlor (all Caribbean people will know what I’m speaking about) that took me straight back to my childhood. I will definitely recommend and I certainly will be back! Simple the best doubles in Jersey."
"I stumbled across Salim’s hot and tasty while looking for doubles on Uber Eats, and boy am I glad I did! I ordered doubles, chicken roti and pholourie and some snacks. As soon as my order arrived I was blown away by the portion sizes. Everything was well packaged. The doubles were hands down the best I had. The curry chicken and roti was fresh and tasty. This is now my go to for Trinidadian food without a doubt. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Oh and l can’t forget to mention the pepper sauce 🔥🌶️ amazing"

"If you haven’t had them yet you’re missing out!!!! Original Salim’s from KFC in Chaguanas by the flyover!!! Ohh how I’ve missed you!!! The pepper sauce and shadow benny sauce was on point bara soft and Channa was soo tasty!! Finger licking and ambience I can’t wait for summer to have on the road side!! For now I’d settle in the spacious shop while enjoying a fresh juice!!! Must have when in the Tristate best doubles in the area!! And roti as well!!"

"Bought doubles and a curry chicken wrap roti and this was ones of the best tasting wrap rotis I've had in awhile. The curry itself and the inside condiments were flavorful and very tasty. The doubles as well was very good. Only tried these 2 items but I'm sure the rest of the menu items are just as delicious. Would definitely recommend and would be going back."
